1. This award is open to students of Vjekoslav Nemesh only.

2. Artwork must be completed after first class, outside of class time.

3. Artworks can be in oil, acrylic or mixed media (i.e. oil & acrylic on canvas)

4. All artworks must be listed in “Entry Form” showing: titles, descriptions of mediums, size and retail price..

5.Maximum size of artwork is 100 X 100 cm including frame.

6. To enter an artist needs to supply good quality photograph/s or digital file (by mail), maximum 3 images.

7. A small administration fee for each image/painting is required, $5.00 (this is non refundable) Please make checks out to: Nemesh

8. Deadline for entry forms and entry fee is EXTENDED to 15th August 2008. Send to: 1/114 Verran Road, Birkenhead, Auckland

9. All the images, results of competition and further details will be placed on Nemesh Art web site (www.nemeshart.com).

10. Selection will be made by 19 August by Vjekoslav. There will be 30 or more artworks (depending on size) to be exhibited at his studio. N.B.-If quality and number of works exceed expectations there will be an exhibition organized after 14th of May. All artists will be notified by mail.

11. Chosen artworks must be suitably and professionally presented ready for hanging..

12. Chosen artworks must be clearly labeled/writen on the back with artist name, year of creation, and medium. Address and price should be on separate label also on the back .

13. Theft, loss or damage incured during the exhibition is not liability of Vjekoslav Nemesh and all works should be appropriately insured and protected by the individual artist.

14. Work cannot be removed during an exhibition without agreement with Vjekoslav Nemesh.

15. All works must be at Nemesh House before morning of appointed installation day no later than 12pm. Nemesh reserves the right to refuse hanging of work arriving after deadline.

16. Presentation of the prize will be made on the 14 September 2008 at Nemesh House Studio & Gallery with viewing from 4:30pm and the prize giving at 6:30pm

-First Prize: $1000.00
-Second Prize: 5 classes worth $ 300.00
-Third Prize: 1 class worth $75.00

17. Chosen works must be collected between 1 and 5 pm on the day after exhibition closes (1 October 2008). The exhibitor must sign for any collected work.

18. Vjekoslav Nemesh accepts no responsibility for any damage to work not collected on time. Works not collected within 3 months of the exhibition last day will become property of Nemesh Art.

19. Works will be couriered back to artist if is received in appropriate packaging as well as freight forward ticket.

20. Commission is 30% (GST inclusive) on all sales.

21. Exhibitors may assist by inviting potential buyers and friends to the exhibition and opening night.

22. The winning painting will be photographed for use in publicity of future awards and remain property of Nemesh Art.

23. Nemesh reserves the right to terminate the competition at any time if criteria for exhibition is not met. His decision is final and no further correspondence will be accepted.
