Original is sold, 20” X 26” (50.5 X 65.7 cm), 1997, oil on canvas The edges of the painting are coloured and made for chunky 1½" stretchers which provides a truer impression of the original work. Such an image gave me the freedom to play around with it even more, making each piece a unique work of art. For this reason, each image will be dated at the time of embellishing. The Queen of the sea is a painting which attracted a lot of attention from many people, and this lead me to the decision to only make a limited edition of it. The beautiful female figure resembles a mermaid and the blue surroundings give the impression of being under water. Again, the white light coming from above represents a connection with the divine. Her beauty is echoed in the beauty of the sea. The naked breast represents the nurturing qualities which we receive as a gift from the sea. Vjekoslav Nemesh Copyright
